Step 1: Identity Authentication
The first step is to authenticate the potential signer. The authentication process requires the collecting certain key information from the individual user, which is then transmitted by Wave Systems to Equifax for a data integrity check. In addition, the user is presented with interactive query questions regarding his or her credit history. This increases the assurance level of the authentication process by asking questions about information that is not readily available in databases or the individual's wallet.
If the potential signer will also be issued a certificate through Wave's certificate services, the signer will be seamlessly transferred to Wave for the authentication and issuance. If an organization will be issuing the credentials to the signer and only requires Wave's authentication services then the service can be accessed via web services.
Now you can safely interact with individuals where no trust relationship previously existed. |
