The Solution: SmartSignature®
Point and Click Signing of Digital Documents
The SmartSignature® Application is a free download that uses digital certificates--a proven technology now recognized in forming a legal signature--in a patent-pending "point and click" signing ceremony. The software accesses the certificate and validates a user as authorized to sign a particular Adobe® PDF document. Documents are time-stamped and expiration dates are checked, giving the certificate holder the ability to sign documents electronically. SmartSignature®supports x509 v.3 certificates from private or public certificate authorities residing in browsers, smart cards, tokens and biometric devices.
This easy-to-use, plug-in-based solution is ideal for contracts or any other customized document that needs to be executed in a legally binding, non-refutable manner. Since the client components are free downloads, they are easily obtained or distributed to any user needing to sign a document. The SmartSignature®solution also supports the inclusion of XML data for intelligent transaction processing and automated workflow.
